This summer Chichester has plenty to keen your little people busy. Prise them from the paddling pool and stretch their minds and their legs at some of the many events and activities planned across the disctrict this summer. Here are a few that we've highlighted in our diary:
Have a Go at Archaeology
Budding archaeologist at home? Get them down to the Fishbourne Roman Palace from 24th July to 3rd August for fun whilst learning in a beautiful setting.
Petworth House Costumed Encounters
An insight into ‘below stairs’ in the early 1800s and learn more about Georgian servant life from the costume interpretation team.
Brick Pit Session - Bricks Britannia
A unique opportunity to dive into a pool over more than 70,000 LEGO® bricks! Let their imagination lead them as they are free to build whatever comes to mind.
Daily from Saturday, 28 July - Sunday, 5 August. 45 minute time slots on the hour, every hour from 11am - 4pm.
Outdoor theatre at Weald and Downland: The Railway Children
Treat them to an outdoor theatre experience with Children's classic, The Railway Children. Gather around Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis on platform one as they pass the time by sharing the classic tale.
14th August. Recommended age: 7+. Gates open 6.00pm. Performance begins 7.00pm. Running time: 2 hours including a 20-minute interval.
Vintage & Steam at Weald and Downland
Take a step back in time and experience the nostalgic sights and sounds of an era when steam and world class engineering powered the country!
