Press Release: Visit Chichester Launches New Look Visitor Guide

A new look guide to attract visitors to the Chichester region is out today. The 2019 Visitor Guide is published by Visit Chichester, the official Destination Management Organisation responsible for promoting tourism and supporting the visitor economy in the region. In a departure from previous formats, the new 36-page guide has moved towards a travel magazine style with an introduction by best selling author and Chichester resident, Kate Mosse OBE.

The guide showcases the outstanding range of attractions, events, leisure activities and accommodation options available not just in the City but throughout the region including Midhurst, Petworth and Selsey. New features include suggested itineraries that combine a variety of attractions and dining choices as well as an events listing that will enable visitors to pre plan their trip.

In addition to the printed version, the guide is also available online at the Visit Chichester website: and new developments will be continuously communicated via the e-newsletter that can be subscribed to free.

2019 is set to be a landmark year for Visit Chichester as it will shortly launch its Destination Management Plan that will establish a framework to grow the visitor economy to increase the region’s share of overnight stays and day visitors.

Louise Adlam, Destination Marketing Executive, Visit Chichester said: “Tourism is vital to the region’s economic success and the new guide will greatly assist local businesses to benefit from continued growth in visitor numbers. Our region is a first class year-round destination with the natural beauty of countryside and coast as well as quality cultural and heritage experiences throughout its city, towns and events. These attributes together with excellent transport links means that we are ideally placed to gain maximum advantage from a predicted upturn in domestic leisure breaks in the year ahead.”
