After the successful 2015 adaptation of Mr Stink (which David Walliams described as “Magnificent!”) and their 2016 and 2017 performances of Ratburger and Billionaire Boy, Heartbreak Productions returns to the Museum this summer with a theatrical premiere of David Walliams’ Midnight Gang, adapted for the outdoor stage.
THE MIDNIGHT GANG
A David Walliams Bestseller.
Drum roll, please… Heartbreak invites you to join us for the grand opening of The Lord Funt Hospital Playground, a spectacular new play area for the convalescent child.
Tom and his friends will be there, too, but you might know them best as The Midnight Gang. When everyone else is sweetly sleeping, they gather in the middle of the night in the name of magic, mischief, and memory making. Join Heartbreak and the gang on this crucial mission to overcome our greatest fears and uncover the magic ingredient to a fantastic friendship.
Bring your chairs, blankets, picnics (perhaps a brolly) and be prepared to be daring at this outdoor adaptation of David Walliams’ bestseller. Who knows where the night may lead?
Recommended age: 7+. Gates open 6.00pm. Performance begins 7.00pm. Running time: 2 hours including a 20-minute interval.
Tickets are £14 for adults, £10 for children (aged 5-17 years), or £39 for 2 adults and 2 children. Pre-booking is essential.
Please note that we cannot offer refunds for this production.
FOOD & DRINK
You are welcome to bring a picnic and enjoy your own refreshments. The Museum’s waterside café will also be open before the performance and during the interval for you to buy drinks and snacks.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring your own low-backed seating or rugs. The performance isn’t under cover so it is advisable to come prepared for all types of weather. The team will perform in all but the very worst of weathers. Performances will not be cancelled due to rain nor refunds given. However, should torrential rain or thunder and lightning strike, the performance will be halted for health and safety reasons. This judgement is down to the Event Co-ordinator on the day.
