The Selsey Heritage Trail is made up of three different self-guided walks exploring the Blue Plaques in and around Selsey, highlighting the places where important people in history lived and worked as well as the locations of significant events.

The Plaques cover a very wide diversity of local history varying from people such as Colin Pullinger, remembered for his mousetrap, to Teddy Donaldson, a highly decorated WW2 pilot who broke the world air-speed record in 1946.

Events and locations include the construction of the Mulberry Harbours, the site of the Selsey Tram, Medmerry Mill and the Gibbet Field, where the bodies of two members of the infamous Hawkhurst Gang were displayed as a warning against smuggling.

The trail is produced by The Manhood Wildlife & Heritage Group and can be downloaded here
