Pagham Harbour is an Internationally important Nature Reserve covering over 600 hectares.  It consists of salt marshes and tidal mudflats, shingle, wet grasslands and reed swamps, which provide plentiful and important habitats for a whole host of wildlife.

The reserve fills and empties with the tide and changes in each season, offering visitors ever changing wildlife, plants, and bird life.  In Winter, watch the waders and wildfowl, Autumn/Winter witness the arrival of the Brent Geese, while on a Summer's day you might see Wheatears, Sand Martins, ChiffChaffs or Terns. In fact it's possible to see up to 60 bird species in a day, and you may be lucky enough to spot seals, herons, voles and more in this quiet, peaceful setting. Be sure to stay for the beautful sunsets.

The Visitor Centre offers plenty of information on what to see, as well as walking and cycling opportunities and what the latest sightings are.

This is a place to take your time exploring as you take in the action and colour of the Reserve’s residents.
