West Dean College of Arts and Conservation is an acclaimed art college in a characterful period property situated in the village of West Dean, nestled in the South Downs National Park. Located within a ten minute drive of historic Chichester, we are also close to the South Coast and Goodwood.
Guest rooms are a mixture of traditional and contemporary, with most en-suite, and bathrooms offer a bath or a shower with complimentary toiletries. The rooms are situated within the main house or in the delightful Old Vicarage, located just behind the college.
Sustainability is important to us and all of the hot water and heating needs of guests are met entirely by our state-of-the-art biomass heating system, which uses wood fuel sustainably sourced within four miles.
The college offers an inspiring escape; our rooms do not have a television – instead guests can enjoy the award-winning Gardens and creative atmosphere, or relax drink in hand in the Steward’s bar.
In the morning, breakfast is served in the College refectory.
You will receive free entry to West Dean’s famous and beautifully landscaped gardens, and an array of activities can be enjoyed within the grounds, including walks through the stunning arboretum, a game of croquet or tennis. The outdoor heated swimming pool is open May to September.
The nearest train station is Chichester, where buses 60 and 107 travel via the College, stopping just outside the front gates.
B&B bookings from £88 per night.
We are also taking bookings for Goodwood Festival of Speed 2020, £325.00 for Single Rooms and £450 for Double rooms. Bed and Breakfast. Minimum 3 nights. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01243 818314. Full details can be found on our website here.
