A selection of traditional pubs nestle in the charming Downland villages. Further afield, a drink or a meal can be enjoyed in bars and restaurants overlooking Chichester Harbour.

Secure bike storage can be provided or bike hire is available and we’ll happily pack you a hearty lunch to take with you on your travels. We provide on-site car parking, but we’re also easy to reach by train, just a ten minute taxi ride from Chichester station or a ride on the number 60 bus.
With prior arrangement, walkers can be collected from and dropped off at nearby points on the South Downs Way.
Hunter's Lodge is everything you would want away from home. Helen is a delightful and helpful host who made us most welcome. Our room with en-suite shower was spotless, comfortable, and one couldn't fault it. Even the bedside books provided were really interesting and there were fresh flowers. This Georgian ex-public house has been restored to the glossy pages standard of Country Living magazine while still retaining the character. A cheerful breakfast after a good night's sleep is the perfect start to your day in Chichester.
