Opening August 2015. Come onboard HMS M.33, the Royal Navy’s only survivor from Gallipoli.
HMS M.33 is a unique survivor. Launched in May 1915 she is the sole remaining British veteran of that year’s bloody Gallipoli Campaign and the only Royal Navy warship from the First World War that will be open to the public during the centenary year. Descend into the Georgian dock where HMS M.33 is located and marvel at the view of her bow. Step onboard, discover how she was built in only 7 weeks and experience the stunning immersive battle experience of the Gallipoli Campaign that claimed over 100,000 lives. Hear the stories of the 72 men who served on board and explore their cramped living quarters, the radio room, wheel house and the oversized 6 inch guns.
