The 16,500 acre Cowdray Estate is situated at the heart of the South Downs National Park on the edge of the market town of Midhurst, twelve miles north of Chichester. The Estate offers a diverse range of leisure experiences as well as holiday cottages from which to base your activities.

Cowdray Farm Shop & Cafe specialises in artisan food. The traditional butchery serves Estate reared beef and lamb plus sustainably managed wild venison. The Cafe sources local ingredients wherever possible and all food is made on site. Open seven days a week.

Cowdray Golf welcomes visiting golfers on a pay and play basis. The 19th Hole Bar serves breakfast, brunch and lunch 7 days a week and is open to all. Golf has been played on our scenic course for well over a century. Sandy soil and the latest irrigation systems ensure superb conditions throughout the year.

Cowdray Heritage, (known locally as Cowdray Ruins), is open to visitors at weekends and Bank Holidays during the Summer (Pre-booked groups of 20 or more can visit at any time of the year). It is one of England’s most important early Tudor Houses and was partially destroyed by fire in 1793.

Cowdray Park Polo Club extends a warm welcome to new spectators.  Known as the ‘home of British Polo’, with a season lasting from April to September, the best polo is seen during the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup for the British Open Polo Championship which starts on Tuesday 21st June and runs to Sunday 17th July. Free entry to weekday matches (excluding the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gold Cup semi-finals) and entry for adults on most weekends £5 (excluding the Gold Cup final).

Cowdray Park Polo Club Academy offers top quality polo tuition. Lessons and instructional chukkas are held throughout the Summer season and are open to riders and non-riders of all ages.

Cowdray Holiday Cottages are well equipped self-contained units located at Benbow Pond. They are a great base from which to enjoy the various sporting activities on the Estate including golf, fly fishing, wildlife experiences, polo and clay pigeon shooting.
